Looks like all round 2 games are now ongoing. Thanks to everyone that we were able to do it in a timely manner.

Looks like of the 4 wars, 3 are fairly lopsided. Let´s see if we can see a comeback.

Congrats to LHDD for being the first clan to claim their place in the Semifinals.

They will face the winner of S&M vs A^ - This looks like it will be settled in S&M's favor soon.

I had to chuckle at the difference in language here. The TOFU-FALL match "has tightened" with a game difference of 4 (increased to 5 a few hours after this was posted), while the FOED has "pulled ahead" with a game difference of 5. I know those statements are both relative to the last update where FOED was tied and TOFU had a lead of 8 or so games. So, no complaints, just amusement.

The lead has tightened to 13-22 now ;-)

Congrats to S&M for defeating A^ in round 2. S&M will now face LHDD in the semifinals.

The 6 week period will start this Sunday meaning all games should be active by July 5th.

Congrats to TOFU for winning their round 2 matchup vs FALLEN.

They will play the winner of FOED v ATLANTIS, which FOED is currently winning 20-14.

Congrats to FOED for winning their war against Atlantis.

They will now face TOFU in the semis.

I don’t know as much of the story in one of the Semi-finals, but they both look razor tight. Both were tied 11-11 recently if I’m not mistaken. I can’t remember that happening in the last five years on both sides of the bracket at the same time.

I think some might say it is kind of boring to have both semi-finals matches the same as last year.
But the result is 2 wars that are FAR from Boring.
Hope it stays that way through the finals as well.

Its looking more and more like it will be El Clasico version seven. Three to three so far. S&M has never trailed and never lead by more than one. S&M probably the favorite, but that is why we play the games and don't award the cup to the favorite beforehand. Grab some popcorn because it will be a show.

Either this match or a repeat of last year's finals was probably what everyone wanted to see (although I think Don may have wanted to play TOFU). Have to say good on LHDD for not only breaking through to the finals but winning it last year. This likely determines if anyone can catch S&M overall as they have four cups to our three and with one each to Fallen and LHDD. Either of them may get to four but getting to five would be a big ask.

It's crazy how S&M/KoRT and TOFU started existing at pretty much the same time, and have been so even for so long. There are other good clans out there, but playing against TOFU feels so right. It's like our evil (obviously) twin.

Playing against S&M indeed feels so right. There have been some unpleasantries in the past, but it kinda feels like wrestling with your twin brother. We are the only ones allowed to beat up S&M, and S&M are the only ones allowed to beat us. I love the friendly rivalry (though I am aware that I am somewhat of a traitor :lol:

It’s crazy this will be the fourth one of these I’ve been involved in (presuming we both get to 28 wins) and they’ve always made me feel like I’ve had to raise my game to levels I didn’t know I could reach. I’ve seems some incredible luck both ways and superb strategy both ways. Your lineup is scary, we’ll need our A plus game, but I’ve been on both sides of these so I know it’s possible.

Since we didn't have a CC prediction contest this year,
any interest in a mini CCup Finals TOFU vs S&M prediction contest?

Maybe predict each set and who wins the tiebreaker game.
Priority to overall score with tiebreakers being how close in each set 1 and 2 then tiebreaker game ?

CD dept will throw in some credits if there is interest.
