I don't know that this would really work, new players should be able to post / contribute even if they haven't won or anything yet.

The easiest way would be to block / ban the ones who are causing the problem if the site wanted to address the issue, but I'm not sure they do. The people even if not playing are still participating / being part of the community

Are you saying that CC wants these non players because its simply a number boost that looks good on paper, because other sites don't allow this, blood brothers, grepolis just to site a few,where freemium, preemium co exist play, but if you speak but don't play your dealt with quickly.

Its funny, I only noticed yesterday that there are people that dont actually play yet are very active in the forums.

It struck me as an odd thing to do given how many other avenues there are around to communicate on the internet- and that most of the threads they are involved in dont relate to the game at all.

I dont see why its a problem though. Its just someone spouting out an opinion like everyone else. Whether they actually play the game doesnt really impact their opinion on off topic subjects

I dont claim to speak for the site, not really a numbers boost issue. But they "contribute" to the site forum area and activity and I doubt they would chase people off for simply participating unless for some reason they felt particular people were doing more harm then good.

That being said, those games seem much larger than CC and probably could afford to "run some off" while CC is stressing activity and trying to get people back / involved.

So, you're saying that if I decide not to play any games for several months, but still want to be part of and contribute to the community, I shouldn't? I have done it. I have been around for 6 months and not played a single game due to not being able to commit to logging in every single day to take turns. When I get sick of playing, or can't play due to real life commitments, I will just slink into the background and still do mod stuff as necessary, and post on the forum from time to time.

People should have a right to play as many games as they please. If they are causing issues on the site, they should be dealt with. The rules are so slack that I am not even sure of what constitutes a breaking of the rules though. There are a few people on this site that I would throw a few temp forum bans on if it was up to me because they are out of control, but it's not.

I looked at your wall, you mistake my intent it seems, there are people who have been here longer than you who haven't even near your games and it is obvious they don't intend to even try to play, with as much time as they spend trolling the forums you would think they had time for at least four games a month, but it isn't so.

If you don't want to participate in off-topic discussions, you don't have to. But they're off-topic. It has nothing to do with CC gameplay, and never has.

If there are certain people you don't like, you are always free to use the foe button and you won't have to read their posts anymore. It is childish to suggest that the rest of us have to stop interacting with them too, simply because you don't want to.

I am probably one of the people you are referring to, since I am currently active in 0 games and freemium. Although I am over 4 games per month and I have paid for premium in the past, not sure exactly how many times but probably around 3. I am 100% sure that would never have happened if it wasn't for the forums, it is called community and it is a good thing for the site.

When it is up to CC related topics, you must take into account that freemiums are as good with ideas as paying members, and those ideas are driving the site forward. Banning fremmiums to introduce new ideas is same as cutting the branch on which you sit.

No ginkapo, I read again my original post, just to make sure what I said, read the part about set up a system to balanced the games.... I made a suggestion, it wasn't a demand, that leaves it wide open for CC Admin to choose the criteria for who is and isn't a player here.And again to reiterate Pmc was not the reason for this suggestion. Read that add on, or PLAYERS like him!

Semp but why go to the park, if your not going to play at all, your whole reason is to attempt to make everyone else aggravated by doing and saying ignorant things with only that in mind, if that is your only purpose wouldn't your parents at some point step in and stop it? you see the correlation here? Most game sites draw lines with things like I am speaking of CC draws lines on freemium PLAYERS already, types of games, how many, speed etc, why not stop those who intentionally won't play, but blog everyday,

I think it is a terrible idea as it negatively affects a lot of positive contributors to the site. (You say you dont mean it to affect PMC and others similar, but it will by its very definition).

If CC is a gamesite, then why have an off-topics forum at all? Lets delete it and whilst we're at it take the soul out of the site.

Although I am over 4 games per month and I have paid for premium in the past, not sure exactly how many times but probably around 3. I am 100% sure that would never have happened if it wasn't for the forums, it is called community and it is a good thing for the site.

hey everyone he spelled bastard wrong!! haha what an idiot!! omg, I dont believe it. i just want to say this spelling mistake negates any point he was trying to make and allows me to tell him that his opinion doesnt matter either. I'll also mention that we covered this exact same point in January 2009 (i have inboxed the link to you). i said this exact same thing then as well. i am magnificent. if i have time i might tell him off doing things that i frequently do.

Actually my suggestion here was aimed at people more like emmeapollama , who spammed the living shit out off CC yesterday took less than 24 hrs from time joined to spam every single section of CC, my suggestion would have made it a he'll of alot harder to do it. Game site Blood Brothers learned the hard way when they had similar rules to CC and kept letting same type of spam happen, most of the countries mentioned paid attention and went to international court system, suddenly things took a dramatic change on that site.

I have been on other gamesite forums where newcomers are restricted from posting until amod decides they can be trusted and has to manually add this permission. I dont know how they make that call because they wouldnt tell you, nor would they tell how long it actually takes as spammers could then figure it out and game the system.

It is pretty confusing for the newcomer and a little disappointing as they want to get involved and ask questions etc.

Yesterday was the first time i have seen spam here and to be honest if that is the extent of it i say its a worthwhile tradeoff.
