This could be hell of crazy. It sounds fun but maybe it should be tried out in beta before? This sounds like a super hardcore nukes mode, with an effect twice as lethal. I think it could work!

I really cannot think of a bad way to play this. Also, the last thing to support this is it would mean a brand new medal coming out.

Espionage spoilsI love this name over any other supported. Whilst the names or turncoat or traitor are nice, they would fit the player losing the troops more than you gaining them. Espionage spoils gives us the idea of the French Resistance in world war 2. A small band able to do far more damage than their size war warranted.
Espionage or spying involves a government or individual obtaining information considered secret or confidential without the permission of the holder of the information.
A turncoat is a person who shifts allegiance from one loyalty or ideal to another, betraying or deserting an original cause by switching to the opposing side or party.

Espionage is best done when infiltrating the enemies ranks, it fits, and then later on you find dissidents that can help, followed by sabotage when needed.

When you cash in and only one troop is there, you end up getting to see what is around that region, even if you do not take full advantage of it by deploying troops there (spying), if you get a stack (turning dissidents), you can go on and attack (sabotage).

this suggestion is not for receiving a terit with 1 troop. you did not blow anything up. it is you get all armies there. in other words the troops turned their coats (of arms) from one lord to another (ie from Red to Green), hence Turncoat is more appropriate than a term which means spied upon.

but this just makes me think that the spoils themselves will turncoat on you as the names normally describe what the spoil does not what it forces the territories to do. maybe i just don't like the word turncoat
so are we now just arguing over what it should be called?
cashing spoils forces any territory you don't own to Turncoat. all troops on that terit are now yours. territories you possess are unaffected.

that works for me. Nukes nuke the terit to 1, Turncoat turns their coat to your colour. how's this?cashing spoils forces any territory you don't own to Turncoat. all troops on that terit are now yours. territories you possess are unaffected.

defector, betrayer, deserter, judas, rebel, renegade, spy, treason.
