this is right. when you hold capital in the CR you get +bonuses for towns in CR, BUT -bonuses for Kraj in the SR.

what about connections to capitals? is this clear?

The way I read it,

With Bratislava, it is opposite: + bonus for SR territs and - bonus for CR territs

The way I look at it, if you own towns in which your capital is located - it's a good thing. If you own the enemy with your own capital, it's a bad thing.

If you have ever used nested continents for one of your map, you certainly have experienced how long that continents list can be and how many overrides you had to use to give out bonuses correctly.
This issue can be circumvented using a different way to code your bonuses: Collections.

Yes, I meant to mention that but forgot. You can also use it for the other bonuses:

The overrides are built into the code. If you have "1" required, it'll give you the "1" bonus, but if you have "2" required it'll automatically override the "1" bonus, likewise if you have "3" it'll override "2" and "1".

There's something a little messed up about the town bonuses.

tbh, I'm not overly confident on how the mandatory tags work in respect to the "required" tags.

I just wanted to point out that the collection bonuses are cumulative and do not override. So, it would need to be:

This is coded to mean that holding 2 will yield +4, holding 3 will yield +8, and holding 4 will yield +12.

I thought tnb told me that continents couldn't not be listed as components under the collection tag, which was a pretty big issue. Perhaps this has been changed. I'm checking with tnb now though and I will let you know.

in 4.3.2 is says components can be territory as well as continent

but only territory can have additional option. So i would have to change the continent to territory to have mandatory.

I did see that which is why I thought I could when I wrote Labyrinth or another one, but I was told I couldn't. I've put a pm into tnb to chat about this so I will let you know. It might have gotten fixed for all I know.

I've been thinking about this 4 towns and capital bonus.

If i keep the 4 towns code at the start seperate like this...the play will get that bonus if he holds this continent, which is not desired.

What is desired is this i beleive, because you actually need Praha (mandatory) plus 4 towns to get the 1 bonus therefore you need 5 territories.
....you need Praha (mandatory) plus 8 towns to get the 2 bonus
and Praha (mandatory) plsu 12 towns to get the 3 bonus.

I think the map could do with an explanation of the ability of how to attack from or attack the region. It could be the same as the town explanation but under the capital description.

"Attacks towns inside it's kraj and the region it is located in."

This is coded to mean that holding 2 will yield +4, holding 3 will yield +8, and holding 4 will yield +12.

The way I understood it from its original post (viewtopic.php?f=127&t=175704) is that it does override. Guess I was wrong, good catch nolefan.

That makes me wonder if the "mandatory" takes are counted in the "required"? That's a very important part.
