Hmm... I see the foundry is moving so slow maps are moving backwards

I figure the concept has been discussed before, no sense in re-discussing it.

Speaking as the person who originally signed off on the gameplay, I was willing to concede that there wasn't necessarily an elegant way of reducing the terit count to 59. I suppose it could be done, but the whole thing was thrashed out some pages ago.

The possibly polemic modification:

It has been widely discussed, that the importance of Yerushalahim in the map is underrated compared to its gameplay potential. Something should be done. What I did was identify Yerushalahim and Roma with diferent crosses in the map and in the legend (the Jerusalem cross and the Pope's cross). Legend is easier to read, and the route to Jerusalem is easier to find

Hello,

I just poked my head into this thread, and on the last few pages I see both approval and later revocation of the gameplay...

I don't have any advice on how to move forward until I am able to take some more time and really look closely, but on first inspection I like to graphics and proposed game play of this map. Please keep working on this and move it forward. I also think it compliments nicely with the 3rd crusade map, even those these were developed independently.

The use of more symbols and less text in the Features seems like a real boon to international CC members whose first language is not English. Bravo. But you could go a little farther. Under Features, you have replaced Yerushalahim nearly everywhere with a cross. Perhaps that cross should also be used in the explanation of how ports can one-way attack. In fact, if you move the line illustrating one-way attacks up, just under the line about the Roma autodeploy, and perhaps add another arrow pointing to the right, then the line regarding the ports can be completely graphical (no text): <<anchor>> → <<Yerushalahim cross>>

Well, if it's been given a pass before then it'll stay like that for now. We'll have another discussion if enough people complain in Beta, but in light I see no more reason not to reinstate the Gameplay stamp, and allow this map to proceed.

I hope to see this stage concluded very soon so I can work on the XML. The territories and continents and bonus are coded already and I only have to adjust the coordinates.

For sure you'll get some feedback from us and the community, you'll get a review in 2 weeks. (or so) I'll give a good look when I get a chance, but for sure the more eyes on the map the better. At quick glance, you look good, just seem to be missing the small version.

Your small version still says "Territories" where the large version now says "Realms"... and "MMIX" where it should be "MMX".

On a lesser note, isn't it redundant to note that the arrow means a one-way attack when two lines above that is "Ports can one way attack Yerushalayim"?

Well Portugal and Castilla have one-way attacks to their southern neighbours. I did suggest moving that line about one-way attacks up under the Roma line.

Hmm... you also need to fix the sea line from Cypress to Jerusalem.

Did you up the saturation on this? It looks like it. While the brighter colors are nice, I prefer the pastel flavor of the previous versions.

I'm editing the both separated because of army cyrcles. I missed those details but will be fixed in next version.

I think the difference is that you saved the latest version as a png versus the previous versions being jpegs.
