Fixed.

Since you have room, maybe you could write out "Nobo = Gold Mine" as "A nobo is a gold mine." The equals sign looks a bit funny.

To me writing that out seems a bit funny, i'd prefer to leave as is for it's clarity, and also because it provides a legend design link to the next map - The Valley Of the Kings where equal signs are part of the legend configuration also.

In the minimap, the words 1st and 3rd and their bonuses are a bit far apart. I know the color is the same, but I think it would look better if you moved them closer.

Just to note, you have the same road thing going on elsewhere in the map, but reasonably intelligent players should figure it out I guess.

well, it looks like to me that Nobo-arba should connect with Nobo-sitta since there are paths between those territories. If this is not the case, something needs to change as paths between

I'm still not a fan of the map, but I had to comment on something basic like that as that's going to be a huge problem if territories with paths like that don't connect.

I would never play this map, but the graphics and gradients really pop. well done cairns.

uhhh. that's not what I meant. I was just using those two territories as an example

I just meant the whole two paths converging thing isn't a good way to do things

Oaktown had said there was a path problem (though I couldn't find out what exactly it was) and I was just saying if the way it looks isn't how they act, then you have a big problem. But, since apparently you can move around as long as there's some path between the two territories, it works. I don't like it because having to go from asharaitne almost all the way to the wall of ramesses II and then turning back to go to tamanya looks quite weird. Though, if you want all these paths, you probably have to do it the way you've done it.

Like I said, since the movements are apparently work so that you can move around as long as there's some path there, it's not a problem. I just think it's not a good way of representing the paths. If you didn't mean for the paths to work in that way, then you'd have a huge problem.

I just came in to make sure there wasn't a big problem of paths being represented strangely. Since there's not, I'm not commenting because I don't like the map.

As I said, I don't really think there's another way to do it.

Some additions to gameplay:
Roads added between Kawal and Tanjur
and also between Sai and Sumna
3rd Cataracts bonus changed to +3.

The line between Sai and Sumna is really faint - I wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't say it. Is there anything you can do to make it more visible?

Since it's only one territory, then definitely. I assume from your image that Kurgus always starts neutral, as does the Well of Ramesses II. I'm not sure what version this happened in, but the "pyramid" in the center of the bottom legend used to go all the way between both pillars, didn't it? Now it seems like the whole thing has been shifted to the right. Was this so that it didn't hit the river? If you reduce the text in the Nobo section of the legend, you could move the Well text over there and get rid of this weird-shaped section.

No, the middle pyramid never went all the way across the middle and I wouldn't it to. Creative design factor

River had nothing to do with it.

Kurgus and Well always start neutral.
special note -> yes...see what i can do.
i'd like to keep the gold mine bit as it fits in with the sub theme of the map in the title - the gold kingdom.
